Migrant Housing

In addition to the 39,000 permanent residents, Okeechobee County is home to many seasonal workers who service our agricultural industry. It is the role of the Health Department to monitor migrant living facilities to maintain a clean and healthful standard. This is done through permitting and inspection of migrant residential facilities under Chapter 64E-14, Florida Administrative Code (79kb PDF).
